A huge thank you to you, our customers, who through the voluntary addition of £1 to your bills across our pubs for the #Cook For Ukraine appeal have raised a massive £20,000. We thought you might like to hear how your money is being spent.
The £20,000 you have raised has been sent to UNICEF UK’s Ukraine Emergency Appeal who are doing an amazing job helping the estimated 2.2 million children in need of humanitarian assistance. UNICEF have sent a letter to thank us for our contribution which will help them to provide these children and their families with vital water, sanitation, health, child protection, and education supplies.

It’s estimated there are over 6.6 million Ukrainian refugees who have fled their homes due to the ongoing conflict. In Bulgaria, Italy, Moldova, Romania, Slovakia, and Poland UNICEF has established 25 ‘Blue Dot’ child friendly spaces with UNHCR, to provide crucial support for children and their families on the move – with many more Blue Dots planned. The Blue Dots can provide support for upwards of 1,000 people per day, including psychosocial care, key information about the countries families are migrating to, safe spaces for mothers and children, and protection for unaccompanied and separated children. These centres play a vital part in reuniting family members with one another.
