24 HOURS IN BELGRAVIA

MORNING: Start your day with a leisurely stroll around Belgrave Square Garden, one of London’s grandest garden squares, and marvel at the beautiful landscapes and architectural splendour. Then head to The Orange Pub for a delightful breakfast. Indulge in a Mediterranean-inspired breakfast and artisanal coffee as you soak in the vibrant atmosphere of this charming local hotspot. It’s then a short stroll to one of Belgravia’s most iconic landmarks, Buckingham Palace. While the palace itself may not be open to the public yearround, you can witness the famous Changing of the Guard ceremony outside the palace gates every day at 10.45am. The ceremony lasts about 45 mins.

AFTERNOON: After a healthy dose of pomp and ceremony, why not stop for an elegant lunch at The Alfred Tennyson. Named after Lord Tennyson, the legendary local Poet Laureate and located on the quaint cobbled streets of the neighbourhoods he once called home, The Alfred Tennyson claims eminence as one of Belgravia’s finest pubs and a true neighbourhood gem. Next, take in the nearby shops, Harrods and the designer boutiques of Sloane Street are a stone’s throw away. Or, if shopping is not a priority, take a stroll through nearby Hyde Park instead where you can enjoy a leisurely boat ride on the Serpentine and in one of London’s finest green spaces.

EVENING: After taking in the sights and sounds of the local area, book in for dinner at a Belgravia institution, The Thomas Cubitt, for a perfect end to your day. The Thomas Cubitt (named after London’s legendary master architect) has earned itself a local reputation as the place to convene, for magnificent food and wine, whatever the occasion. Relax and unwind as you mingle with locals and enjoy the excellent selection of wine, bespoke cocktails and fine British cooking.
