That’s why, following the success of our Eats With supper clubs, we’re delighted to introduce Cubitt House Drinks With — a new series of guest residencies celebrating the people behind some of Britain’s most admired cocktail spots.
Across a handful of evenings throughout the year, we’ll welcome some of the country’s leading bartenders and drinks-makers to two of our Central London pubs. Each residency offers a rare chance to experience their craft up close, with bespoke cocktail menus, thoughtful ingredients and the easy conviviality that defines a great night out.
From celebrated Soho institutions to some of the UK’s most exciting modern cocktail destinations, Cubitt House Drinks With brings together a remarkable line-up of talent shaping Britain’s cocktail scene.
Mark Hix and Nick Strangeway of Mark’s Bar | 24-26 April | The Blood Orange Bar, Belgravia
Kickstarting our new series, Cubitt House Drinks With, Mark Hix takes over The Blood Orange Bar from 24–26 April, bringing his unmistakable style to the heart of Belgravia. Hix is the mind behind the much-loved Mark’s Bar, the Soho speakeasy that became something of a pilgrimage for cocktail lovers.
At its helm was the legendary Nick Strangeway, whose ingredient-led approach helped shape the bar’s reputation for quietly exceptional drinks. For three evenings, that same spirit arrives at The Blood Orange Bar with a menu that nods to the classics while celebrating British producers.
Expect signatures such as the Hix Fix, an English Sparkling Wine cocktail with Morello Cherries and Somerset Cider Brandy Eau de Vie. Seasonal, thoughtful and rooted in the best of British ingredients, the menu reflects much of what we hold dear at Cubitt House: creativity behind the bar, a reverence for craft and the convivial pleasure of gathering for a well-made drink.
Book Now Fran Cruse and Ben Reilly of Stray Bar | 24-27 September| The Clubhouse, Marylebone
For the second instalment of our new Cubitt House Drinks With series, we descend beneath The Coach Maker’s Arms to our London speakeasy, The Clubhouse, from Thursday 24th September, joined by our friends at Stray Bar.
Since opening in Manchester in 2023, Stray has quietly become one of the best cocktail bars in the UK, admired for its inventive drinks and meticulous craft. For their residency, Founders Fran Cruse and Ben Reilly will present a seasonal menu of Stray favourites alongside a few new creations, including their much-admired Tomato Vine Margarita. While the main event will be on Thursday, a handful of Stray’s drinks will remain on the menu for the rest of the weekend. Expect bold flavours, clever twists and the sort of drinks that spark conversation long after the last sip.
Book Here Liam Davy of Hawksmoor | 22-25 October| The Blood Orange Bar, Belgravia
Bringing our first Cubitt House Drinks With series to a suitably refined close is Liam Davy, Beverage Director at Hawksmoor, who joins us from Thursday, 22nd October at The Blood Orange Bar.
A respected figure in the British bar world, Liam has spent years shaping some of the country’s most admired drinks programmes. Expect a residency devoted to the art of the Martini, with a menu of Hawksmoor signatures including the celebrated Direct Martini with a choice of gin or vodka, perfectly paired alongside a selection of Hawksmoor’s much-loved snacks crafted by our very own Ben Tish. Even if you miss Thursday’s main affair, a selection of Hawksmoor’s cocktails will linger on the menu across the weekend.
