THE ALFRED DUNHILL PADEL CLASSIC

THE ALFRED DUNHILL PADEL CLASSIC

We were thrilled to be part of the Alfred Dunhill Padel Classic at the Hurlingham Club. Cubitt House were part of The Mirabeau Endless Lunch with menus designed by Ben Tish.

The world’s finest celebrity pro-am padel tournament was held at the prestigious Hurlingham Club on 15th and 16th May and we at Cubitt House, as part of the Mirabeau Endless Lunch, loved being a part of it.

A quintessentially British experience staged at one of the world’s finest private members clubs that celebrated the fastest growing sport on the planet. The Alfred Dunhill Padel Classic featured celebrities, padel professionals and a group of select teams competing over two days in the grounds of the stunning Hurlingham Club, raising funds and awareness for Laureus Sport for Good, to help disadvantaged children around the world.

Joined by some of the world’s greats of sport and entertainment and padel pros including Sir Andrew Strauss, Bryan Habana, Greg Rusedski, Annabelle Bond, James Anderson, Sam Billings, Michael Vaughan, Max Evans, Thom Evans, Judy Murray, Jason Robinson, Rafa Vega, Sam Macneil, Javi Serrats, Alfonso Patacho, John Leach, Max Lutostanski, Aimee Gibson, Tia Norton, Victoria Nicholas, Abigail Tordoff.

Ben Tish, Chef Director at Cubitt House designed both a breakfast and lunch menu for the event. Breakfast included the likes of freshly baked pastries as well as tortillas and a collection of breakfast sandwiches including a Cubitt House favourite –  a grilled chorizo & tomato sandwich, with aïoli, enough to get those sportspeople going.

Lunch was a Mirabeau Endless lunch affair and involved a wonderful array of seasonal dishes from sea bass crudo or fried courgette flowers with Monte Enebro & honey. There was also a slow cooked Moorish spiced lamb with chilli & lemon butter sauce, or the charcoal grilled beef rump, grape must & thyme jus. Just a few of the incredible dishes cooked up by the team of Cubitt House chefs.

We’re teaming up with Mirabeau again this summer and are hosting an Mirabeau Endless lunch at The Orange on 22nd June. A specially designed 3 course menu carefully imagined by Chef Director, Ben Tish alongside the perfectly paired Mirabeau Rosé. A day to sit back and enjoy our beautiful 1st floor dining room amongst friends. Forget the time and savour the moment. The perfect way to spend a summer afternoon.
