We have four celebrated and much loved culinary supremos and cookbook authors across the year and across the Cubitt House pubs. There’s a lot to look forward to. All guests will be greeted with a welcome drink from Hayman’s on arrival, followed by a three course feast hosted and designed by our guest cooks and there’ll also be the cookbook to take home with you. We kick off with Max La Manna at The Thomas Cubitt on 5th February.

Max La Manna is a multi award-winning author, low-waste chef and campaigner whose casual approach to cooking has captivated a huge audience. Max will be cooking from his latest book “You can cook this! More taste, less food waste”, which embraces the power of plants with quick and easy meals and minimal waste. Cooking from the kitchens of The Thomas Cubitt and served in our beautiful 1st floor dining room. Join us on 5th February for a three course feast to savour.

Next up, on the 30th of April, owner of the renowned Darjeeling Express restaurant, author of the soon to be released ‘Monsoon’, and star of Netflix’s acclaimed ‘Chef’s Table’, Asma Khan, will take the helm of the the kitchen at The Princess Royal, Notting Hill. A force in London’s culinary scene and an outspoken activist, Indian-born, British restauranteur Asma Khan has always been a disruptor. Asma will be cooking from her next book, ‘Monsoon’ which is structured around the six core ayurvedic tastes – Tangy, Bitter, Hot, Sweet, Sour, and Salty and how they correlate to the six seasons in Bengal. These six tastes will be spotlighted in her 3 course menu. Prepare for a wonderful assault on the taste buds!

Josh Katz, owner of Berber & Q, Shawarma Bar and Carmel in Queen’s Park and Fitzrovia will be with us on September 10th. Cooking from the Berber & Q cookbook, Josh will bring his signature barbeque recipes to the kitchen at The Orange, Belgravia for a 3 course feast full of flavour. Josh has taken influence for his three London restaurants from all over – London, Marrakesh, Istanbul, Tel Aviv and New York. Second to his love of food is travel: Josh has extensively explored Mangal restaurants in Turkey, the grill & kebab houses of Istanbul, the food stalls of Jmaa el Fna in Marrakesh and the Shipudim in Tel Aviv.

Rounding off this series of “Cubitt House Eats With” will be Instagram sensation and Executive Chef Partner of Maison François and Café François, Matthew Ryle. At Maison François, a modern French brasserie in St James’s, Matthew showcases his passion for seasonal ingredients and timeless brasserie classics, drawing inspiration from the grand establishments of Paris, Lyon, and Alsace. This year, Matthew and his team expanded their vision with the opening of Café François in Borough Yards. This vibrant canteen merges the charm of Parisian cafés, the laid-back style of California delis, and the contemporary flair of Montreal bistros.
Matthew will be cooking at The Alfred Tennyson, Belgravia on November 12th Belgravia bringing recipes from his first cookbook, which is set to be released next year. Expect a selection of French classics with playful twists.
